Stand-In Crews Fight Blaze And Rescue Woman After Car Crash

Friday June 13 2014

STAND-IN fire crews attended several incidents in Barnsley while firefighters staged a 24-hour protest.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation after a bedroom fire on Michael Road, Lundwood at around 2.15pm on Thursday.

The contingency crew, wearing breathing apparatus, contained the blaze to the first floor of the property and treated a man, a woman and a young boy on the scene.

Crews also freed a woman who was trapped in a car following a crash in Flouch.

The firefighers removed the vehicle's roof to free the casualty, who was conscious and breathing. The aim ambulance also attended.

A second strike this month will take place on June 21.

All this while the full time firemen sit on their fat backsides crying over their pensions.

No wonder the british public are sick to death of hearing about them striking.

This report shows what being a fireman entails. Its a job many would not dare do. They are fighting for their rights which were negotiated many years ago! What else can they do? Let the government walk all over them? If so,why bother to ever negotiate any thing again , we may as well all lay down and be trampled on while being paid sod all. I can't understand why some people can't see the implications of what's going on. If the firemen just accept this, then just watch all of us suffer in the future. Wait and see, our rights are being whittled away. Get behind them for all our futures.

In 1985 the miners of this country stood shoulder to shoulder in there own beliefs and fighting for the working class in every street corner.

The day they returned to work is the day the working class has been subjected to cuts in standards of living working conditions, and we have gone back 75 years in history.

Every single miner in this country can be proud of there fight. All goverments Tories Lib-Dems Labour are more Tory than ever.

We've no one to fight for the working class's now. Mrs Thatcher created a I'm alright Jack Society and we are paying the price today and will continue for generations to come.

You're so right Doc. Off all people, you would think our communities would admire the firemen standing up for their rights. Their NEGOTIATED rights at that. They're not asking for more, just fairness. Yes the miners lost, and look at their inheritance, the demoralisation of Zero hours contracts. Without going back in time, workers are losing any rights and we shouldn't be turning on each other.

Goverments always looked after Proffesinall people in the past The Police Fire, Army, Doctors etc.

What you now see is all these Proffesinall people fighting for ther rights etc. Remember all the people are hear to provide a Service and in many cases risking there lives.

Politicians and Bankers and the top 10% of the nation are lying cheating corrupt and living lives beyond belief. We all need to wake up stop the infighting against Fred and Joe Bloggs.

The true villains in this Country are The Politicans and Bankers. proven in the courts.

Im a firefighter. All we want is to protect what we were offered when we started and stop them taking it from us to give to the bankers to do what they were never held accountable for in the first place and to give the people of south yorkshire a fire service they can be proud of and trust to help them in their time of need. People in barnsley need to realise already this year their council tax has gone up, but they have 2 less fire engines to depend on. If u live in certain parts of barnsley and have a fire, then ur in serious trouble of not getting an appliance there in any where near enough time to help. The alternative is to lay down and let the self serving pigs take the lot and people will die!!
