A MAN found drowned in a stream in Wombwell has been named.

Neil Humphreys, who lived in the flats on St Barbara's Road, Darfield, was found in Bulling Dike, near Valley Road, Low Valley, at about 6pm last Monday. He was believed to be 38.

Neighbour Kimberley Wright said: "It's very sad. He'd lived here years and was nice enough to talk to, but he kept himself to himself.

"He lived on his own but his parents visited regularly because he was epileptic. We didn't know whether he'd had a fit and fallen in, but we just don't know."

A spokesman said police were investigating but officers believe that the death is not suspicious.
