The incident - which happened at 1.50pm in Church Hill in Royston - involved a red Volkswagen Golf collided with a silver Skoda Octavia.

The Skoda then hit a stationary black Toyota Celica.

A pedestrian, a local 40-year-old man, was then struck by the Toyota and sustained serious injuries.

The Toyota and Volkswagen then collided with another unattended parked vehicle, a white Vauxhall Vivaro van.

A 15-year-old girl from Barnsley, who was a passenger in the Volkswagen, sustained slight injuries and the driver of the Skoda, a 55-year-old man, also from Barnsley suffered slight injuries too.

A 20-year-old man from Wakefield was driving the Volkswagen. He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed, pending further enquiries.
