A PUB'S £500,000 renovation has created 30 new jobs.

The Strafford Arms has been closed for six weeks and reopened last Thursday to show off its new makeover.

Fine and Country Inns, which invested the money, has redecorated in a traditional style to reflect the village's charm and character.

A chef has been hired and the pub will now serve British and French dishes as part of an evening menu, as well as all the best pub classics.

Licensee Gary Hunt, managing director of Fine and Country Inns, said: "The pub looks fantastic and I can't believe the transformation."

30 jobs? When reports say this I have to wonder if they're including the labourers it used to renovate the place... Cos I used to work there years ago and it only had 8-10 staff, how do they calculate 30 jobs in this village pub?!

Maybe you could do a better job then, some people haven't any thing nice to say about anyone.

Would you prefer that we all lied about our experience !

Having worked in bars as a student. I could have done a better job single handed !

Just to keep you happy., here's the nice bit , the refurbishment is excellent!

That's better, a little less negativity, it can't all be bad. I have also worked behind bars and served the most ignorant of the public, need I say more?
