A MAN who went on the run as he stood trial over the manslaughter of his son has handed himself in.

Shaun Stewart, 53, vanished through his trial over the death of his son, Brent Campbell, who was electrocuted while attempting to steal metal cable.
Stewart was with Brent on the night he died - but left him for dead instead of calling for help.

He was jailed for five years at Sheffield Crown Court, with South Yorkshire Police issuing an appeal asking for the public's help to find him.

Stewart handed himself in to police on Monday morning.
