Locals Encouraged To Do April Fools Sponsor For Tot

LOCALS are being urged to do something zany for charity on April Fool's Day to help send a Barnsley girl to America for life-saving treatment.

Steve Laycock is organising the second Webbstock to help get Ebonie Webb to her £70,000 fund-raising target to pay for treatment.

Ebonie has a brain tumour, and has been having chemotherapy since she was six months old – and while normal radiotherapy would leave her with damaged parts of her brain, the pioneering proton treatment targets only the tumour.

The Webbstock event - which will be held in Che Bar on April 1 - will feature local bands like Fleur D'Lees, Tom Sealey, Black Vines, James Arthur, Shermer, Matt Black.

But Steve is wanting locals to start sponsor forms now to do something silly for the day. He said: "We've had people volunteer to do things like shave their heads. We want people to do something random to raise money for Ebonie."

If you'd like to take part, comment in the box below and Steve will contact you.
