Reds Slip To Bottom After 3-0 Defeat

Monday March 17 2014

THE Reds slumped to the foot of the Championship after their second 3-0 defeat in the space of five days on Saturday.

Hosts Watford took just five minutes to open the scoring through Cristian Battocchio, before Troy Deeney's 16th-minute strike all but sealed three points.

Barnsley - who are still three points from safety - rarely threatened the home side's dominance, who grabbed their third goal 15 minutes before the end through Alexander Merkel.

"The season is far from over but if they are going to start believing what people are writing about us it will be," manager Danny Wilson said.

"We've got to have a little cocoon around us and make sure we don't take it to heart and really believe we can stay up."

As a true Red Since abart 1945 R still have plenty of faith, but a don't think the players have, and to be quite honest don't think there good enough, and the powers that be no it and have had no intention of helping out I think they will be quite happy to see them down a league, and be like it was when we were in the 3rd and 4th div with a 2and 3 thousand of us true supporters wit cup a scolding hot bovrill. (Ah Well) ????

Looks like the team and management have already accepted relegation. Not being good enough is one thing, having no desire is unexcusable.

I don't know why the players keep turning out on match days, it would be less embarrassing for them to stay home.
Get the mapplewell mavericks out there, they could do a better job

Don't fight for it now, let the academy youngsters finish the rest of the season as a base for promotion from league one next season......and sell all the shite that are clearly thinking they're better than they are.

Frimpong thinks he's above all this. He needs to have a good look at himself, his careers going downhill fast. Not good enough for Arsenal now proving to be not good enough for bottom of the league Barnsley. It will be Barnet for him next at this rate.

I want to keep believing but honestly we have not improved at all under Danny.
I could not name more than 4 players who are good enough to keep and build around.Footballs all about giving your all for the team, not much quality in squad so the inevitable will happen.SAD

So he thinks Reds are a consistently winning side? 6 wins in 35 games!

He thinks winning every other game can keep Reds up? That only makes 47 points at best. Doubt that's enough to stay up, reckon his calculator doesn't work!
