CRIME victims are now able to track what is being done by police officers thanks to a new online service.

Officers in Barnsley have been having training since the start of the month and it is hoped the TrackMyCrime service will be available across South Yorkshire by the end of March.

Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright said: "It is important that we do all we can to ensure victims are better informed about how their investigation is progressing.

"TrackMyCrime will help them to feel more in control and will update them in real time at their convenience."

Sounds about right Tracy. Sadly they are a disorganised bunch that will mean many will never be brought to justice. Good luck.

yes still waiting... tempted to see how long it takes them and contact a paper then make a complaint... my daughter has forgotten all about it now thank god, She was in a right state for weeks thinking she had to go to the police station and go through a video etc. I wont put her through that , if they can't be bothered neither can we.
