FEEDBACK about Experience Barnsley on the website Trip Advisor has been universally positive since it opened in June.

There are 32 reviews of the new museum at the town hall on the site, 26 giving it the maximum five stars, and the rest awarding four stars.

A spokesman said: "We'd like to thank everybody that has taken the time to write a review of the museum on Trip Advisor.

"We've had some fantastic feedback so far and as a result, we're currently positioned at number two for Barnsley visitor attractions."

It is beaten only by the children's play centre Pirates Cove, on Aldham House Industrial Estate, Wombwell.

RSPB Old Moor is in third place, with Cannon Hall Museum and Barnsley Metrodome completing the top five.

Have you been to the museum yet? What do you think to it?

I went with my grandson a while back. Its worth a visit, and it will be nice to watch it grow. Hopefully they will try to get one of the Anderson's shelters that have been in our news lately and build a display around it.
The only thing I found disappointing, was the audio equipment was broken, hopefully its been repaired now.
The cafe was lovely and clean, food was smashing and the staff were excellent.

Hi Sid,
Every broken handset has been repaired and/or replaced in the last week.
The first six months of a museum, means a lot of testing out equipment and wear-and-tear.
80,000 visitors in that period has meant the interactives and audi/visual equipment has had a lot of use. They have now improved taking that into account.

Really pleased you enjoyed your visit.
Come again soon.
