Welcome To WAB Prince Charles - We Need Your Messages!

Thursday January 12 2012

PRINCE Charles will be having a tour of Barnsley this month – and will even be stopping in to visit the We Are Barnsley office.

The Prince Of Wales will be visiting on January 24, where he will meet Dickie Bird at his statue next to St Mary’s Church and later he will be visiting University Campus Barnsley.

We will be showing the Prince our work on We Are Barnsley as well as the activity on our Facebook wall and how our website works. We plan to present him with an I Talk Tarn tee and a framed momento of his visit to WAB - we need your help...please could you provide some nice messages for the Prince about what he can expect to see from Barnsley and how you feel about him coming to Barnsley?

We will pick one person who comments to get one of the last WAB tees :-) Thanks for your help!

Welcome to Barnsley, the land of opportunity! I hope you enjoy your visit to the WAB offices. The guys there really help bring the community together. Oh and while visiting Dickie Bird and his statue please refrain from hanging objects such as condoms, feather bowers and empty drinks cans on his finger! We know it's tempting but you are a Royal...

How much is this visit costing, because according to the news article on the right hand side of this page Barnsley debt crisis mounts new stats reveal.

I'm sure the financial burden of this pointless visit won't help the debt crisis.
