Barnsley Motorists M1 Weather Warning

MOTORISTS travelling on stretches of the M1 have been warned to drive carefully as winds of up to 38 miles per hour are battering the road.
The Highways Agency this morning revealed that several stretches were suffering due to the adverse weather and were warning motorists to drive carefully or seek alternative routes.
Areas affected by heavy rain and strong winds include the M1 junction for the Woodall Services; M1 J32 with the M18 (25mph winds); M1 J33 with the A630 (23 MPH winds); M1 J34 with the A6109 and the A6178 (23 MPH winds); M1 J35A with the A616 and M1 J36 with the A61.
Worst hit is the M1 J37 and Woolley Edge Services which both have wind speeds of 38 miles an hour.
