Heartless Thieves Steal Pensioners Christmas Tree

Thursday December 22 2011

Heartless thieves have stolen a pensioners Christmas tree from her front garden.

The Christmas tree was planted for 84-year-old Kathleen Ramage as a sapling by a member of her family 11 years ago - but thieves hacked down the seven foot Christmas tree from her front garden in Chapel Lane, Penistone.

Local volunteer community radio station Penistone FM came to the rescue and contacted local garden centre Horsfields who kindly donated a replacement tree.

In an interview on Penistone FM, Kathleen said "she was horrified" when she realised it had been stolen, but was overwhelmed by people's kindness.

You can hear the interview at http://www.penistonefm.co.uk/gallery/2011-2/ - many thanks to our friends at Penistone FM for the kind permission to reproduce their photograph.

Never mind someone stole this old womans Christmas tree , Ok bad news for her She's 84 maybe she's very sad about this But a woman who has lived though a World War this is nothing She is made of something that we are not she has seen hardship that we have never seen in our lives .Please think about the people who don't have a Christmas tree to steel. The people who live on the streets who have nothing . Not even a Christmas card never mind a tree
