Things like this can happen to any driver, observation is the key! We all have busy lives, including the police, don't single them out, on a whole they do a good job! We don't know the facts, the old lady might have stepped out and not seen or heard him, bless her, let focus on wishing her a speedy recovery instead of laying blame : ) wishing you a speedy recovery x

What a vile person you must be brian to make a comment like that you must have been dragged up not brought up as you have obviously no respect for anyone or anything by the sounds. Accidents happen hope all involved are ok and the lady makes a speedy recovery

Trouble is, a car park is used by both pedestrians and drivers and more care should be taken by both parties. Unfortunately at 87 years old, the lady would not have been fast enough to step out of the way even had she seen it coming. I personally am not a lover of the police but as an IAM advanced driver I see this problem on a regular basis. One cannot lay blame on here, but I hope that the lady makes a speedy and full recovery.

Think we're all quick to persecute the police, but probably the old women been 87 wasn't looking, in reply to the comment by Lynda, I think we should charge the old lady with out paying due care and attention! Police do a fantastic job

I agree, these old people think they can get away with anything these days. they think saying "im a pensioner you know" is a get out of jail free card. its bloody disgusting. 87's too old lets call it a day now love.

Brian, how rude and disrespectful can you get, I personally think you should keep your mouth shut!! Can I just add that we DON'T know the full report and I personally feel 87 isn't too old and she shouldn't call it a day, she's probably been through more in one day than you have in your lifetime, I don't even know the lady but still feel your comment and yourself should be deleted from this website, people like you don't deserve to be given the right to speak unless what comes out of your mouth is polite. You horrible creature!!!!

Unfortunately, we won't always be the age we are today and I think some people seem to forget that. Think on!
