BARNSLEY legend Bobby Hassell plans to write a tell-all book about his decade at Oakwell as part of his testimonial celebrations.

The defender, who joined the Reds in 2004 and has gone on to play 295 games for the club, says the autobiography - set for a May release date - will be an honest account of his illustrious Oakwell career.

"I won't be holding back and will be telling my stories from my time at Barnsley," the 33-year-old said.

"There's no point writing a book if you're not going to be honest so I'm sure the fans would appreciate an honest insight into life at Oakwell."

@rog They aren't that well paid. In fact I get paid three times as much as the average footballer.

There should be no testimonial for Mr Hassell as he will have been paid a very good salary while in the employment of BFC. It is greed on the part of the individual and stupidity on the part of the club which allows this to happen.
