BOMB disposal teams were in Dodworth on Sunday evening.

Teams were called to the area at around 6pm after a resident found a device near Silverwood Scout Campsite. 

Police confirmed it was an unexploded device - which is thought to be from World War Two.

It was taken away and disposed of safely.

Reports suggested it was a large rusted item that was dangerous to many and the local people wanted it removed .... much like the town hall sculpture then.
