Oral Sex Couple Sent To Jail

Monday June 17 2013

Barnsley Interchange Barnsley Interchange

A COUPLE who played to the crowd while having oral sex in and outside Barnsley Interchange have been jailed for 10 weeks.

Jacqueline Holden, 37, and Sam Rowan, 22, began in Midland Street and were egged on by a crowd of between 30 and 40 teenagers inside the interchange, Barnsley Magistrates' Court was told.

Chantel Lowery-Green, prosecuting, said the couple went inside the building and were filmed by teenagers with mobile phones.

"Mr Rowan was looking around and wanted the public to know what was going on. The couple played to the audience. Ms Holden then lay on the floor and Mr Rowan had oral sex with her."

Holden denied this after her arrest.

District Judge John Foster said: "You engaged in open sexual contact outside and inside the interchange in front of a crowd you were encouraging.

"The interchange is probably the busiest place in the town and the description of your behaviour has been absolutely disgusting. This demands a deterrent."

Holden, of Oxford Street, Barnsley, and Rowan, of Bridge Street, Barnsley, admitted outraging public decency.

totally agree they should be punished but im sorry if my teenage kids were stood filming them and egging them on i would be asking myself where id gone wrong in my childs upbringing, and as for my 5yr old was traumatised my 5yr old wouldnt have been because they wouldnt have had a clue what they were doing, and the worst that could have happened would have been my 5yr old asking, mummy what are they doing.and before everyone jumps on my case like i said i agree they should be punished but if people hadn't stood watching they wouldn't have had an audience to play to.

unfortunately I don't think it will stop them in the future,Having known (and been harassed) by Sam,he just craves attention espesh sexual attention. They noth should know better considering the woman in question is 37! I am 22 and would not (no matter how drunk) do something like this!

I was referring to Sam he has complex learning difficulties and if people don't understand them then they shouldn't be so harsh

Boohoo. So now we must feel sorry for him? If I was witness to this I would sue them, learning difficulties or not. Too many excuses are making too many people get away with too much.

If his 'complex learning difficulties' cause him to behave like a percent in public then he should be removed from society so that people with complex sensitivity difficulties to such outrageous behaviour don't have to be abused by people like Sam rowan. He sure doesnt seem to have 'complex learning difficulties' when it comes to engaging in public sexual activity and inciting involvement. He should be sterilised now so that he can't pass his 'complex learning difficulties' on to anyone or expose himself to his children. Someone like that is a menace and potential danger to society, very disturbing.

Look up Asperger's syndrome then comment on mental state

Reply Posted by Anon on Tuesday June 18 2013 at 14:11
My son has Asperger's and he'd NEVER behave like that!

Yea man, they would have been executed or lashed 80 times in Saudi Arabia
BUT this is Barnsley and this kind of thing is kind of normal over there.
As long as they arent related its not that bad.
Other than that it should be illegal. But far be it for me to try and imply you bring the "inter racial law" or the "iraqi law" over to our country

10 weeks jail time? Is that all? That's appalling. And who were the 40 teenagers? Who counted them? And surely there would've been at least 1 who is traumatised by this? And as for the learning difficulties excuse, well I've never seen any Down's syndrome people doing this or other people who have various challenges. And being drunk is no excuse. They should be jailed and fined for being drunk in public, doing what they did, inciting involvement from teenagers and ordered to serve community service and formally apologise to evy teenager and their parents. It's disgusting.

Your "complex learning difficulties" you say about aspergers is completely wrong people with aspergers need to have an average or above average intelligence for diagnosis, that is why its known as HIGH FUNCTIONING autism.I know Sam also, his "learning difficulties" doesnt stop him getting weed that he loves or to annoy large numbers of women.I have aspergers and am quite offended by your lack of knowledge! Aspergers or not,you don't see any other autistic people (even those with sever autism who do have learning difficulties) doing thing so blatantly obvious. Also if she is 37 and knows his difficulties she would have been in trouble for taking advantage, the fact that he has been sentenced and sent to prison reflects that his "learning difficulties" can't be that as they would do a capacity assessment to see if he understood so clearly it has been show he did have the capacity to know it was wrong,,,,my 2 cents
