Gallant Reds Hold On For Point

THE Reds fought bravely at promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest - and came away from the City Ground with a point.

The 0-0 draw was another heroic away effort from Barnsley, but the Reds' relegation worries weren't alleviated as they're still in a precarious position with just two games to go.

With Bristol City already relegated, three teams (Barnsley, Wolves and Peterborough) share 51 points, and it's looking more and more likely that a final-day May 4 decider at Huddersfield while prove to be vital.

Forest dominated in large spells on Saturday, but Luke Steele produced some great saves to give Barnsley a point. The hard-earned draw could prove valuable in the next two weeks.

"They don't know when they are beaten, this team," said a proud David Flitcroft. "Although a lot of people have predicted that we would go down we will continue to battle for the next two games."

Next up for the Reds is their final home game of the season, against Hull City, a team now almost certain to be playing in next season's Premier League.
