Police Appeal After Mapplewell Robbery

POLICE have confirmed that at around 9.55pm on Wednesday, April 10, an alleged robbery took place on Blacker Road, Mapplewell.

It's believed that a 42-year-old woman was waiting for a bus when a man jumped out of a dark coloured car and allegedly threatened the woman with a knife, while asking for her bag.

It's reported that the man then attempted to take the woman's bag.

It's believed that the woman was pulled to the floor holding on to her bag. The man reportedly got back into the car, which drove off towards Darton. The woman sustained minor injuries.

If anyone witnessed the incident, or believes they may have seen the car in the area, they should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1287 of 10 April 2013.
