Children Treated To Easter Eggs At Hospital

Wednesday April 3 2013

CHILDREN at Barnsley Hospital were treated to Easter eggs.

About 60 were donated by The Co-Operative and were given to children in the inpatient and assessment wards and the outpatients department.

Katie Cartwright, fundraising manager, said: “We chose a new superhero to hand them out because our medical staff at Barnsley Hospital act as some of our own community superheroes within their own right every single day."

Name suggestions for the superhero, plus a short story, should be sent to barnsleyhospitalcharity@nhs.net or via the hospital's Facebook and Twitter pages.

The winner will receive a visit from the new mascot, who will deliver the prize of a family ticket for Metrodome bowling and Calypso Cave, in person.
