The Hairy Bikers The Hairy Bikers

THE Hairy Bikers will be coming to Barnsley next month.

Simon King and Dave Myers will be helping to restore the historic Newcomen Beam Engine as part of a new industrial heritage programme.

The engine was built in 1795 to extract water from Elsecar New Colliery and is the only engine of its type to have remained in its original location.

The popular duo will be visiting Elsecar Heritage Centre in the third week of April.

We have some fantastic heritage in this part of south yorkshire, glad its being preserved for future generations, this should bring in tourists, so will be good for surrounding areas too.
Good to have celebrities on board to promote it.
