Thursday February 28 2013

STAFF at a funeral home in Thurnscoe are appealing for Easter eggs to be given to children at a hospice.

Staff at Maccabe's Funeral Home would like the community to donate Easter eggs which would be given to children at Bluebell Wood.

They say it would give them some extra cheer at Easter.

Funeral arranger Noreen Green, said: "As a business at the heart of the community, we want to do our bit by trying to put a smile on as many local youngsters faces as possible.”

Easter eggs can be handed to staff at the funeral home until Wednesday March 27 – Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.

The collection of eggs will be presented to Bluebell Wood in time for Easter.

Contact Mary or Noreen on 01709 893152.

I think handing Easter eggs into these premises are totally wrong, grieving persons don't want to see this activity surely??? Talk about celebrating life, not with donated Easter eggs coming through the door, for goodness sake.Maccabes Funeral Home not my choice of sympathetic family based business caring for your needs at this difficult time!!!Unbelievable!
