Over Twenty Cannabis Plants Seized In Grimethorpe Clean Up

OVER 20 cannabis plants were seized in a day of action to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in Grimethorpe.

As we reported here, many organisations came together to help clean up the area. 

A 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were arrested following the seizure of the cannabis plants.

In other areas of the operation, VOSA and police officers stopped and checked 52 vehicles.

Six vehicles were taken off the road, two heavy goods vehicles were found to have minor defects and their owners given warnings, nine width restriction penalty tickets were issued and four people were given tickets for not using their seatbelt.

Acting Sergeant Nick Redfearn, said: “This day of action has been about police and partner agencies working more closely together in the Grimethorpe area and achieving results.”
