Tea Room Donates Profits To Local Boy Who Is Suffering From Leukaemia

Monday February 4 2013

A TEA room has donated its profits to help a seven-year-old Hemingfield boy suffering from leukaemia.

Emma Heeley, 34, who owns Domestic Goddesses tea room, heard about Jack Palmer on Facebook and decided to help.

All proceeds will go towards helping Jack, and Emma and her one member of staff is also giving up her week's wages.

His mum, Sharon, gave up work so that she could fully care for her son.

"Jack is a local lad and this is a way for Hemingfield to look after its own,'' said Emma.

Funds will go to Hemingfield Community Fundraising Group, which is putting together a programme of events for Jack such as a Zumbathon and a car rally.
