New Scheme To Combat Anti-Social Behaviour

Tuesday January 29 2013

A NEW initiative has been launched in Barnsley to deal with anti-social behaviour and low-level crime.

Neighbourhood Resolutions aims to help by using local people to act as a go-to person if a problem arises. It's thought this will help to keep the peace, and stop the problem escalating further.

Police Constable Julie Oxley, Barnsley Neighbourhood resolutions Coordinator said: "Since the launch of Neighbourhood Resolutions in Barnsley, we have seen a dramatic reduction in repeat calls following work with parties who have reported neighbour disputes and anti-social behaviour."

WABers, is this a good idea? Do you think this could help to keep the peace in your area? Have your say below.
