Wednesday January 23 2013
LIBRARIES and children’s centres across the borough are preparing to celebrate Barnsley’s annual bedtime reading week.
With the theme based on the well-known children’s rhyme Five Little Monkeys Bouncing on the Bed, bedtime reading week runs from the 4-9 February in libraries across the area.
From 6.45pm on weekdays during bedtime reading week, Penistone FM (95.7 FM) will be airing bedtime stories read by people from the local community.
Cllr Jenny Platts, said: “We want to encourage families to read stories together at anytime, but cuddling up with a book at bedtime is a great way to end a busy day.”
