There will be no green bin collections during the festive period.

If there are no green bin collections then what are we supposed to do with the inevitable tons of cardboard that will accumulate over Christmas?

Break it up, squash it down (makes more space in the bin) and wait till next collection

I agree with anon - just break the cardboard up and squash it down, not like it's going to rot and go off if it's left in the bin for a few weeks! it;s not like it's the first time they haven't collected green bins at Christmas, I do believe last year they only did grey bin collections - no recycling at all.

All it takes is a bit of common sense - its not the end of the world.

If that's all you gotta worry about this Christmas is your Green bin Merry Christmas. If you was discussing the grey bin in summer months with rats and maggots running every where from fortnightly collection then we all have a point.

Take it to the tip, huh! that's a laugh, people think the roadside as you drive to Worsborough reservoir is a tipping area. We have seen a chair, bags of rubbish and even a folded mattress left by the roadside, if the culprits read this I hope they feel ashamed. Oh! no, silly me, they probably cannot even read.
