MOTORISTS have been warned of delays on the M1 because a vehicle has overturned.

Two lanes are now closed on the M1 Southbound beween Juction 36 at Tankersley and J35a because of the accident.

There's a further delay on the Southbound carriageway between Junction 34 and Junction 31 because of an earlier accident - average speed has been reduced on that section to 20 miles an hour.

It seems as if the residential reensdits of 73 street haven't been taken into consideration. there is already too much loitering on 73st now with the public space it will be overrun with more loitering. As a resident of the block I have to agree with Armando. There street merchants have already taken over the 37th ave end and the Broadway end of 73 street. There is no regulation for the carts and the trash and traffic created by them is already a problem. This change will also cut out the the already slim parking in the area. Probably the biggest congestion problem right now is the high volume of cars double parking on the 73 street, 37th ave and Broadway near 73st. Has there been anything in this proposal to create additional parking? ALSO has there been anything done to have enforcement of the noise..such as horns and the late night garbage removal trucks that sound like earthquakes. As I know, there has never been a ticked given out on 73street for horn honking violation. But hangout there for 30 minutes and you will be appalled at the level of horn abuse.
