'Conversation Cafe' Launches In Barnsley
Thursday November 1 2012
A 'CONVERSATION cafe' has been launched in Barnsley to help those who speak English as a second language become more fluent.
The project, which is running through Barnsley Library, runs once a week in the coffee shop and follows the success of a similar project running in Hendon Library, London.
Coun Jenny Platts said: “The Conversation Café will be a good addition to our library services and is a different way to improve reading and literacy in an informal setting.”
The sessions start today (November 1) from 2pm at the library on Shambles Street.
