Road Closures Announced For Graduation Ceremony
Thursday October 25 2012
ROAD closures will be in place on Friday to allow for a procession of students to march through the town centre.
Barnsley College's annual graduation ceremony will see the students join the procession between Old Mill Lane and the town hall.
Two processions will take place, at 11.45am and 1.45pm, which will mean Church Street, Sadler Gate and St Mary's Gate will be closed.
A spokesman said: "Surrounding roads may be busier than usual due to traffic finding alternative routes. Please be assured that disruption will be kept to a minimum with roads being opened as soon as the procession has passed."
