Search On For Barnsley Street Robber

POLICE are searching for a man who allegedly knocked a teenager to the ground and demanded his phone and wallet.
The incident was reported on Union Street at 11.30pm on October 14.
A 19-year-old man was walking adjacent to the Britannia flat complex when he heard footsteps running up behind him from the direction of Sheffield Road.
The alleged offender run across the road, struck him across the head and knocked him to the floor.
He is thought to have taken the man’s wallet and run down the pavement in the direction of Sheffield Road.
The man is described as being white with dark hair, approximately 6ft tall. He was wearing a blue jacket and spoke with a Barnsley accent.
If anyone has any information they are urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1349 of 14 October 2012 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
