New Late Buses Added For Hemsworth and Xscape

TWO new later evening buses back to Hemsworth and Barnsley from Xscape at Castleford are being added this weekend.

The Stagecoach Service (X28) which runs Mondays to Saturdays will now have later services at 9.05pm and and 10.05pm starting on October 27.

Spokesman Rupert Cox said: “Following suggestions from passengers, we decided a few months ago to extend the Barnsley–Hemsworth- Pontefract service to Castleford on Saturdays to take in Xscape. It has proved extremely popular so we are delighted to be able to meet this demand from people visiting the centre with new later journeys back.”

There will be an 18.10 from Barnsley to Pontefract and an 18.12 from Pontefract to Barnsley.

Meanwhile, the X19 Barnsley–Doncaster-Robin Hood Airport service has doubled between Barnsley and Doncaster on Mondays to Saturdays to provide a bus every 30 minutes.

Just because its scheduled to run do not rely on these busses,

i used the x28 every morning and afternoon for the first 12 weeks it ran, constantly late, didnt show or would break down, in a space of 5 weeks it boke down 6 times, and i was left in the middle of nowhere to wait 1 hour for the next one in freezing cold,

please use the train, alot easier, and quicker and reliable
