A 92-year-old Barnsley woman had her handbag and purse stolen by a man posing as a wheelie bin cleaner.
The man was targeting homes in the town centre on Sunday and has asked for a bin bag to help him clean up.
He then stole her bag and purse and she only realised it had been taken once he'd left.
South Yorkshire Police have posted a warning on their Facebook page today about doorstep callers and urge locals not to open their doors if they don't know the person.
