How To Make Sure The Facebook Pages You Love Appear In Your News Feed (Like Us!)
Monday September 24 2012
We've had scores of messages from the WABers over the weekend saying that our news updates are no longer appearing in their news feeds.
We've done a bit of investigating and it seems there's been some Facebook jiggery pokery afoot.
If you've recently noticed a lack of updates from your favorite fan pages on Facebook, it could be because of Facebook's new Promoted Posts (These are posts that are paid for by companies to make sure they show up at the top of news feeds - WAB don't do this and have no intention of paying to promote what we feel is a valuable and free news service!)
Add this to Facebook's new EdgeRank algorithm and this means you might not be seeing what you want to see, but what Facebook thinks you should see.
Good news is there is a solution!
To make sure you see all our updates - and this works for any page - there's a quick fix for getting all them back into your direct feed.
Here's how:
GO TO THE FAN PAGE that you'd like to see updates from. Ours is here.
CLICK on the 'LIKED' button which appears at the top of the page under the cover photo.

A little menu will pop out and you need to make sure that the bit that says "Show in News Feed" is selected.
For that added bit of a bonus you can also set how your news feed displays on your home page. It defaults to show you top stories - but you can set it to show most recent if you like, just by clicking on it and changing the option.

Finally if you do not interact with WAB regularly, the Edge Rank score for us will drop and our page content will no longer be shown in your News Feed. So, the only way to guarantee you keep seeing us to to like, comment or share our posts regularly :-)
