Council Makes Pot Hole Promise
Monday September 17 2012
BARNSLEY Council has promised that pot hole repairs in the borough will last longer thanks to a new piece of machinery.
The velocity road repairer has been delivered this week and, according to the council, will repair pot holes quicker, which will mean staff will be able to repair more.
Spokesman Coun Roy Miller said: “The advantage of the new process is that the repairs will have a far longer life than conventional repairs which will mean fewer visits to some of the more problematic defects.”
He added that the machinery would be best used on the rural road networks of Barnsley.
Where do you think the machine could be best used? Which street has the worst pot holes in Barnsley?
