Residents Protest Against Housing Estate Proposal
Thursday September 20 2012
RESIDENTS are petitioning the council against plans to add 95 houses to an estate in Dodworth.
A five-page letter of protest from homes on Orchard Croft, Lambert Fold and Wood End Court, off Water Royd Drive - against proposals to develop on land adjacent to them - has been submitted to the council.
Businessman Peter Doyle, who owns the land, said he has no intention of submitting a planning application for a development but added the site had already been safeguarded for housing by the council a decade ago.
The plans appear on local development framework map, which is here.
The site appears on Map 40 as 'BAR34'.
