Bomfest Gears Up For New Date
Monday September 17 2012
BOMFEST will return to Barnsley this weekend after organisers were forced to delay the live music festival in July due to the weather.
The event was scheduled to be held at Worsbrough Mill Country Park on July 28 but had to be postponed because the field couldn't be used as it was full of hay grass which hadn't been cut in time because of wet weather.
The event will go ahead on Saturday (September 22.) Organiser Dave Hancock said: "About 15 out of the 100 bands can't make it but we are cool with that, and all the main acts like Danse Society and 3 Daft Monkeys will be there.
"We're raring to go now and ready for a party, and I hope everyone behaves themselves and takes in the true spirit of what we are trying to do."
