Woman Cautioned After Baby Left In Car In Sweltering Heat

A BABY had to be freed from a car after she was left alone in a shopping centre car park for more than an hour.
Worried shoppers reported seeing the 17-month-old tot in the red Citroen C1 in the Alhambra shopping centre car park last Tuesday.
Police and mall security were called and shut the car park while they smashed a window to get her out.
CCTV footage showed the baby was in the car for more than an hour.
A police spokesman said: "A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of child abandonment and has since been released with a police caution."
The child did not need hospital treatment.
