Locke Park Fun Fair Rumours Quashed
Thursday September 6 2012
EVENT organisers have quashed rumours that an entry fee will be introduced to this year's Barnsley Feast.
The fun fair - which was postponed last week due to the weather - starts tonight in Locke Park at 5pm.
There had been rumours of a £5 gate charge, but a spokesman from Roger Tuby's Funfair, which runs the event, quashed that saying entry is free.
A council spokesman added: "There's definitely no fee to get in - usually the only time there's an entry fee is when it is bonfire night."
The fair runs until September 9.
