Dancers Wanted For Barnsley Male Glamour Troop
Thursday September 6 2012
A PAIR of Barnsley friends have set up the borough's first ever male glamour show and are looking for stars.
Paul Atwal-Brice, of Thurnscoe, and business partner Tracy Scrivens, of Penistone are looking for men to star in the show called Definition, which will tour Barnsley later this year.
Paul said he's wanting to 'put the tease back into the striptease.'
Paul said: "We know there is going to be some local talent, where people are going to need jobs.
"It's new to South Yorkshire and we've had a lot of interest from local guys from gyms and boxing clubs but we're hoping to attract lads from all walks of life."
Paul said costumes are being designed by the same company which designed costumes for Take That's Circus tour.
He also has a top London choreographer putting the show together.
Paul, 34, said there was a niche for this type of show in South Yorkshire, and more than 100 tickets had been sold already.
Auditions are being held at the Park Inn at Manvers on September 30 from noon and the launch show is at the Dearne Playhouse on October 20.
