Barnsley Student Proves Herself Top Of The Class

A BARNSLEY student has proved herself to be top of the class by getting the highest mark in the country for her childcare course.
Abbey Kershaw, 20, from Cudworth, completed a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education after two years of study at Barnsley College and earned an A.
But it was her mark for a research project she completed as part of the qualification that was the highlight - scoring the highest nationally recorded result since the course was introduced in
She said: “I was thrilled to find out I had got an A in my research project and even prouder when I learned that I was the only person in the country to achieve this grade.”
Abbey is now heading to Leeds Trinity to study Primary Education.
