Diamond Necklace Up For Grabs in Hospice Fundraiser
Tuesday August 28 2012
SOMEONE will be shaken and stirred at an upcoming 007-themed charity ball as a diamond necklace is up for grabs.
Barnsley Hospice's annual fund-raising ball will have a James Bond theme this year and the special prize in an ‘open the box’ competition will be an 18 carat white gold necklace set with a sparkling diamond.
Organiser Mandy Ibbotson said: “Guests will have the chance to buy a plain jewellery box for £10 and one of the boxes will contain the magnificent necklace.”
The event will see a Jaws lookalike serving cocktails, with a four-course meal served to the sound of iconic Bond themes.
Dress code is black tie - but people can also come along dressed up as their favourite Bond hero or villain.
Organisers hope the fundraising dinner and dance will top last year’s event which raised around £10,000.
The ball will take place at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley, on September 14. Tickets, priced £45, are available by contacting Mandy on 01226 323628 or mandy.ibbotson@barnsley-hospice.org
