Plans Submitted To Renovate Hoyland Lowe Stand

A PLANNING application to renovate the historic Hoyland Lowe Stand has been submitted to Barnsley Council.
The Hoyland Lowe Stand Trust plans to renovate the tower and observation plateau and insert a first floor level.
It is thought the work will cost around £20,000 and the group of locals have been raising the cash to pay for it.
The trust have held various fund-raising events, including a joint community gala at Hoyland Common Primary School.
They have also been selling 2013 calendars which depict different scenes of the areas mining heritage with images supplied by local historian Michael Bedford.
