Dogs Sought For Paws In Park Event
Monday August 20 2012
A FUNDRAISING event just for dogs is being held this weekend in aid of Barnsley Hospice.
The Paws in the Park event on September 2 raised £1,800 last year and offers two routes - one that is six miles and one that is two and half around Cannon Hall Country Park.
Organiser Mandy Ibbotson said: “Last year 74 dogs took part, and numbers are looking even better for this year. It’s a really good chance to turn an everyday task into an activity that will really make a difference to the people Barnsley Hospice supports."
There will fundraising activities throughout the day and dogs will also be able to take part in a dog show.
All participants will receive a bandana, certificate and goody bag for taking part.
More information about the walk and registering pets can be found on Barnsley Hospice’s website, www.barnsleyhospice.org
