Barnsley Bard Runs Library Kids Event

FAMOUS Barnsley poet Ian McMillan is running a free event for kids in Barnsley Library on Saturday.
The 11 O'clock Poems session will see Ian and his son Andrew run a poetry workshop for children over 8.
Coun Jenny Platts said: “We are delighted to welcome back both Ian and Andrew to Barnsley Central Library. They are both excellent advocates for the library and the Summer Reading Challenge, with their passion for poetry and reading. This is wonderful opportunity for young budding poets to practice their skills and learn new ones.”
The session runs from 11am to 12.15pm.
The event is free but places must be booked - call 01226 773952 to secure a space.
