Volunteers Offer Community Clean Up Work

Tuesday August 7 2012

A GROUP of local volunteers have offered to do community work across the borough in a bit to spruce up Barnsley.

Voluntary Action Barnsley have promised to mobilise a team of volunteers to take on one-day tasks in each district.

A spokesman said: "We would like you to tell us things in your community that need sorting and could be done in a day, like painting a village hall, cleaning up graffiti, tidying up a local greenspace."

What would you suggest the volunteers get started on? You can comment in the box below or email: carolyn.ellis@vabarnsley.org.uk.
