Barnsley Bus Drivers In Olympic Duties

Tuesday July 31 2012

MORE than 30 Barnsley bus drivers and support staff are working in London to help provide transport for athletes taking part in the Olympic Games.

The Stagecoach staff are doing their share to help more than 14,700 athletes and 21,000 media representatives get around London.

Spokesman Paul Lynch said: “The London 2012 Games are a once in a lifetime opportunity for our people to be involved in a global event on this scale.

"We are proud to be involved in the Games and look forward to helping make the event a success for spectators and athletes alike."

Have you been involved in the Olympics? Or just visited the park? We'd love to see your pictures. You can upload them here.

Bit late with this news WAB - they went down 4 weeks ago along with all the new double decker buses that used to be on the 66 route (that are not coming back to Barnsley)
