Metrodome Pirate Snatched By Thieves

THE METRODOME'S pirate mascot has been stolen prompting an appeal for his safe return.

The pirate statue, which is positioned on a bench outside Calyso Cove, was stolen on Saturday night.

A spokesman said: "CCTV shows two individuals entering the Metrodome after 9pm but leaving as a threesome.
"It is suspected that they walked out of the back doors of the centre with Pirate Pete in their company.
"Pirate Pete was an essential booty and part of the Metrodome’s crew and is missed dearly by all."

The Metrodome say they hope to retrieve Pete safely and undamaged.

cannot believe someone has stolen him, the kids loved him an were always having their pictures taken sat with him. such a shame that their are some nasty people in barnsley.......RETURN HIM PLEASE.......
