BARNSLEY Council has announced a u-turn on road and lane closures at Old Mill Lane over the coming days.
An original announcement said that there will be a road closure from Harborough Hill Road to Old Tannery Road, from 7pm until 6am tomorrow and then the road would reopen with two lanes of traffic instead of three for approximately ten weeks..
However, yesterday the council said: “We have since been advised by the contractor on site that they will no longer be shutting Old Mill Lane on Sunday evening.
“We will provide a revised date for the works when we receive this information from Balfour Beatty.”
