Summer Lane Gets WAB Welcome

CHILDREN in Year Six at Summer Lane Primary School were given an official WAB Welcome today.

The class group – who have been studying journalism – were given a talk by We Are Barnsley’s reporter Nicky Hyde, who explained to them the importance of telling a story, shorthand, and the use of social media as a modern way of delivering news.

More than 40 people left messages for the children on our Facebook wall.
