The NewhamBarnsley Partnership was established in 2008 following the culmination of the Beijing Games, and is a groundbreaking approach to delivering a lasting legacy from London 2012 outside of the capital. Barnsley, working with the London Borough of Newham, is using the excitement of London 2012 and the values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to challenge long standing weaknesses.
